Treasures of Seuthes III

In 2004, in the village of Golyama Kosmatka near Kazanluk was discovered the tomb of one of the most powerful Thracian rulers – Seuthes III. This sensational finding includes the delicately and masterfully created bronze bust of the ruler, golden wreath; a golden wine cup - kylix, knee pieces and a helmet, decorations for horse ammunition; and others. The names of the ancient ruler Seuthes III, are carefully carved on the phial, the jug and the helmet. It is estimated that the unique ancient Treasures of Seuthes III are part of the superb burial inventory of the Odrysian king.
